ABOUT BASEBALL
Baseball and softball are very similar: baseball was originally intended for boys and men in particular. That is certainly no longer the case; there are also women who play baseball – also at Adegeest!
In baseball, the pitcher throws overhand, the ball is relatively small, and the base distances are relatively large. Your team wins if it scores more runs than the opponent. You do this by hitting balls (strikes) and making sure that the fielding team cannot handle them (properly). At the same time, the fielding team does everything possible to prevent the batter or runner from scoring.
Just as in softball, nine players play in the field at the same time. Teams take turns fielding (defensive) and batting (offensive). An inning consists of one fielding turn and one batting turn.

Would you like to join us or come and watch?
You are of course always welcome to attend our games. You can also send us a message if you would like to speak to someone from the club. We will be happy to answer your questions!
If you would like to try one of our sports, please come and join us for a trial practice, no strings attached. Make sure you wear sporty clothing and good sports shoes (preferably with cleats) – we will take care of the rest!

About softball
